You can help stop this by donating or signing a petition [link] and yes, it does work. The Defenders of Wildlife and other organizations like the Sierra Club have successfully sued and won numerous court cases against the government for animal cruelty.

Feel free to post this picture and the message on your forum, blog, MySpace, even your own dA account. I give you full permission to use this picture to help spread the news.

NOTE: This has nothing to do with the election or abortion. We're not telling you who to vote for. This is about stopping Palin's Alaskan Fish and Game department from illegal slaughter of innocent wildlife! Stay on topic!

Please repost this image with due credits and links to spread the awareness of the brutal wolf killings in Alaska! Everyone, especially US citizens can help towards stopping this inhumane practice!

Greetings All! Our club is still growing. Did you know that we have over 140 members? Yet... you think we'd have more contributions. You guys!! I'm serious let us see some artwork or some poetry or a story. Let us get involved, over 140 members and not one of you has entered the contest? That's crazy! Now I'm not whineing as the administrator of Therianthropes I am just trying to get everyone as excited about therianthropes as I am. Now, I realise I haven't been really posting much either but being the poor injured wolf that I am with a sprained wrist I haven't even uploaded to my own site. *slack* I really hate to see that we have all these members and so little participation.

Recently in the club we have been gaining a good many new members. This is fabulous news! I am very excited for those that have joined us since the administration change. Welcome!
However, there is a small issue. We have all of these new members and everyone seems so interested but there is very little going on project wise. Every once in awhile we will get a few new art posts, again this is terrific, but I need a little more feed back from you guys on the icon contest, which by the way I have not recieved a single entry, and also *fleetfoot 's new idea of the Therianthrope Dictionary.
I'd like to hear a little more raised voices and perhaps we can get our own chatroom started in the DA chat forums.
I think then we'd be able to make more efficient and affective progress with this club.

Since there are so many new changes in the new administration of this particular club I would like to give the place a bit of a face lift. The icon we have now is wonderful, I adore it! But I think it is about that time for a change with that too. Only members may enter but if you aren't a member and want to make an icon entry than.. JOIN US PLEASE! I would love to see some new faces and some new art entries .
Come on people (wolves, horses, tigers, gryphons) whatever you are, let's
show some pride and boast a bit!
I will be judging the entries on creativity, variety and appeal. This does not mean it has to be animated but make it noticeable! Something that people will see and say, "Wow, that is a really eye catching icon I wonder what they are all about."
However, it must have Therianthropes of DA,deviantart or whatever in it. We want our fellow deviants to know who we are and what we are about.

In other news I would like everyone to welcome our new co-administrator *fleetfoot. Go on, go give licks and nuzzles, don't be shy.

We do need some contest art out there, (otherwise the club admins get to pick a new ugly icon. Lol. Who ever said that we could draw? ) and any possible other reccomended websites. I'm sure that there are plenty worth viewing that I haven't discovered yet!

Message to all members: In need of potential terms for our Encyclopedia! Note me! (Absolutely anything you consider important for therians and non-therians to understand. Common misconceptions, really basic things, myths, etc.)

Welcome to Therianthropes!

Originally started as simply the "Therianthropes" club residing on DeviantART, but Therianthropes has progressed, raising its standards. We are no longer intended to be viewed as "just" any other club, but as an place where those both new and old to Therianthropes can learn about Therianthropy, a safe haven for those wishing to freely express their own ideals and opinions concerning their spiritual Therianthropy, and those who feel connected to animals and nature in a deeper, more spiritual manner than most.

Although some may ridicule this club and other Therianthropes worldwide, calling us delusional people who believe insane things and roleplayers, this is not the case. This club was not created for the purpose of roleplaying, or those that missuse the title of "Therian" or "were."

If you mistakenly joined this club thinking it was a roleplaying club, or concerning another such topic, please send us a note stating your wish to leave. All procedures are anonymous and we of the Therianthropes administration fully respect the privacy rights of the members.

It is our hope as the administration of this club that our members are fully satisfied and content with Therianthropes.

Joining & Membership Policy

To join the club, you are required to send us a note containting what your Phenotype is. (The animal you are spiritually connected with.) Please also include at least two complete sentences of what your personal belief of what Therianthropy is.
--We don't discriminate! There is no wrong answer!

Comments requesting to join on our main page will be ignored.

Please note that members listed as banned for a lengthy period of time will be removed from the club's list of Members

Art Submission Policy & How-To

All art submitted to Therianthropes must be about or related to Therianthropy, whether its main subject/s is/are therians, anthromorphic animals, fantasy, etc.

-All types of art is welcome!! (We need more literary works and poetry!)

Art that doesn't fit DA's submission policy will be rejected.

To submit your art to the club, please send a note titled "ART SUBMISSION" and include a link to the deviation. (One deviation per Note!) The description will be copied from the original deviation, and the title of the deviation will be submitted to the club as "username-##" if the title has already been taken.

CONTESTS

All contests are judged at present by the Administration of the club. We judge fairly and reasonably. Contests are only appliable to by members.

Contest Duration: Sep - ...
This Contest!: A new Icon for the Club!

Requirements:

-To have the club name listed on it in some form or manner. (Therianthropes, "T", Therians, etc.)
-Must fit DA's icon requirements.
-Eye-catching, creative, and appealing to the eye!
-Relating to Therianthropy in general.
-Submit in note titled "CONTEST SUBMISSION."
